What is the Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA)?

Arkansas’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program gives families access to state education funding that can be used outside of the traditional public school system.

Eligible students may receive up to $6,864 for the 2025–2026 school year, with funds distributed quarterly. These dollars can be used toward approved educational expenses such as private school tuition, tutoring, homeschool curriculum, instructional materials, educational therapies, and other qualifying learning costs.

How Do I Apply for Arkansas’s EFA Program

Families must apply for or renew participation in the Arkansas EFA program each school year. New applicants apply through the FACTS application system, while returning participants complete renewals through ClassWallet.

As part of the process, families may be asked to provide documentation such as:

  • Proof of Arkansas residency
  • Student identification or guardianship records
  • Additional documentation for special eligibility categories, if applicable

Applications are reviewed during designated processing periods, and once approved, families receive access to funds through a secure ClassWallet account.

MU Prep’s enrollment consultants are available to support families throughout the application and enrollment process.

How Do I Use My EFA Funds for MU Prep?

Once approved, families can apply Arkansas EFA funds directly toward MU Prep tuition through the ClassWallet platform.

MU Prep’s enrollment team can provide a tuition quote and guide families through submitting the necessary documentation in ClassWallet to ensure tuition is paid directly to the school.

After enrollment requirements are completed, students are officially enrolled at MU Prep and families receive onboarding support ahead of the school year.
