What is the Arkansas Education Freedom Account (EFA)?
Arkansas’s Education Freedom Account (EFA) program gives families access to state education funding that can be used outside of the traditional public school system.
Eligible students may receive up to $6,864 for the 2025–2026 school year, with funds distributed quarterly. These dollars can be used toward approved educational expenses such as private school tuition, tutoring, homeschool curriculum, instructional materials, educational therapies, and other qualifying learning costs.
Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, the program is available to all K–12 students eligible to enroll in an Arkansas public school, expanding access to more families statewide.
