What is the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)?

Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program gives families access to state education funding that can be used outside of the traditional public school system.

Eligible students receive scholarship dollars that may be used toward approved educational expenses such as private school tuition, tutoring, curriculum, online learning programs, educational therapies, and instructional materials. Most participating students receive approximately 90% of the state education funding that would otherwise be allocated to their child through the public school system.
