Students Explore Art & Culture During Hybrid MU PrepLearning Day at Newfield’s Indianapolis Museum of Art
On January 21, 2026, Marian University Preparatory School (MU Prep) students enjoyed an inspiring Hybrid Learning Day at Newfield’s Indianapolis Museum of Art, an opportunity designed to deepen classroom learning through hands-on, real-world engagement. As part of their English Language Arts and Social Studies coursework, students explored a variety of exhibits that brought history, culture, storytelling, and artistic expression to life.
Engaging With Diverse Exhibits
Throughout the day, students experienced a rich collection of galleries, including The Lume: Connection – Land, Water, Sky, New Voices in Contemporary Art, The Message is the Medium, Artist Among Us (Season 4), Resplendent Dreams – Reawaking the Rococo, and the museum’s Japanese and Korean Art collections. Each exhibit offered meaningful connections to themes they have been studying, ranging from visual communication to cultural identity to global artistic traditions.
Building Community Through Shared Experiences
While exploring the galleries, students enjoyed lunch together at the museum’s café, providing valuable time to build friendships and connect with teachers in person. This outing reflects MU Prep’s commitment to hybrid learning that extends far beyond the screen.
