Finding What Works: Gavyn’s Path to Success at MU Prep

Every student’s educational journey looks a little different. “The school just became a roadblock,” his mother shared, “Everything that was denied to him became a major problem, and it just wasn’t a safe environment.”  

His family saw him regress both academically and emotionally, with report cards dropping from above-level performance to well below, as they felt his needs were not being fully recognized. 

Additionally, Gavyn is legally blind, which added another layer of uncertainty as they began considering online alternatives. “We didn’t even know if visually he could do it.”

His mother reflected on that progress, sharing: 

“He’s become so much more confident in himself. He knows what he needs to do, and he takes initiative now in a way he didn’t before.” 

Gavyn’s transformation from uncertainty to confidence and independence has been one of the most meaningful outcomes of their experience.
