Dr. Elisha Schlabach

Dr. Elisha Schlabach | Head of School

Dr. Schlabach has worked in PK­–12 education for more than 19 years—15 years of those years in Catholic education. Marian University Preparatory School is proud to have Dr. Schlabach as our head of school, providing leadership and oversight for the school’s strategies and budget, curriculum and instruction, learning, student support, and faith formation.


Matthew Gring

Matthew Gring | Operations Manager

Mr. Gring has served in Catholic education for more than 10 years as a teacher and administrator in Arizona, Florida, and Indiana. The primary focus of his experience has been supporting schools in creating and strengthening school culture and student life, as well as school data reporting and management.

Melissa Andres

Melissa Andres | Counselor

  • MS in counselor education, Indiana University
  • 15 years of experience in K–12; 3 years of experience in higher education
  • She is the mom of six kids ages 11–22 and loves crafting.

Amy Board

Amy Board | English Language Arts

  • BA in secondary education, Butler University
  • MA in journalism, Ball State University
  • 22 years of experience in 6–12 ELA

Jacquelyn Harrison

Jacquelyn Harrison | Science

  • BS in biochemistry and mathematics, IUSB 
  • Transition to Teaching Certificate, Goshen College
  • Master’s in biochemistry, University of St. Joseph
  • 8 years of experience teaching middle school science and biology
  • Knows how to fly an airplane

Jessica Reding

Jessica Reding | Physical Education and Health

  • BA in physical education and health, Purdue University 
  • 8 years of experience in K–8 P.E. and health 
  • Took a 10 year “sabbatical” to raise her three children, and that made her a better teacher

Joseph Roth

Joseph Roth | Social Studies

  • BA in secondary education with a concentration in urban education, Indiana University 
  • Certified Gallup Strengths Coach 
  • 10 years of experience in K–12; 4 years of experience in higher education 
  • Developed and ran a student-teacher mentorship program in Chicago 

Lisa Taylor

Lisa Taylor | Religion and Hybrid Studies

  • BS in elementary education, Indiana University 
  • MA in theology, St. Meinrad
  • 15 years of experience in grades 1–3, middle school ELA, and middle school religion
  • Is the mother of 5 and a hospice volunteer

Erin Whalen

Erin Whalen | Mathematics

  • BA in elementary and early childhood education, Marian University
  • MS in curriculum and instruction, Nova Southeastern University
  • MA in educational administration, University of Notre Dame
  • 22 years of experience in PK–8 teaching and administration
  • Loves to write and bake

Kim Zimmerman

Kim Zimmerman | IT and College & Career Readiness
