About Our School

Mission, Vision, and Accreditation

At Marian University Preparatory School (MU Prep), we believe all students deserve to master what they love and learn as they live, meaning education should fit into a student’s life, not the other way around. Every day, we personalize the educational experience for every student and teacher through a flexible, relevant, faith-focused approach. MU Prep provides students with the tools that set them up for success in today’s world.

MU Prep is an independent Catholic school operating under the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Our vision is to champion every student to discover their gifts, abilities, and character to make an impact in today’s world for a better future. Our mission is to personalize each student’s educational experience in an accessible, faith-focused environment. As a school rooted in faith and sponsored by the Catholic institution Marian University, we welcome students of all faiths who seek an educational experience framed within the context of our Franciscan values: dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship. Marian University Preparatory School (MU Prep) is an independent Catholic school operating under the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.

School Opening and Location

MU Prep held its inaugural first day of school on August 3, 2022, for Indiana residents only. For the 2023–2024 school year, MU Prep has expanded to offer our innovative, virtual full-time enrollment to students in grades K–10 in more than 30 states. We will also offer grades 11 and 12 in the coming years. MU Prep-Indiana offers a fully virtual program to students across the state and a hybrid learning option, including in-person learning at Marian University in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. Conveniently located, the beautiful campus is an inspiring place to learn and reflect. MU Prep hopes to expand hybrid learning models to other locations in the future.
